SEMCON 2008, See Ya There!

August 28, 2008

The Search Engine Marketing Conference Philippines is back, with a bunch of new and interesting topics to look forward to. I’m about 90% close to registering, I just need to confirm a few stuff, but I’m really interested to witness SEMCON 2008 as part of the audience, and not as a speaker this time. My SEMCON 2007 experience was the start of a lot of things for me, and there’s no reason why I shouldn’t be positive about this year’s event.

So I missed SMX Advanced alright, but this is my opportunity to root for our local counterparts, acknowledging that SEMCON 2008 is The one must-see event for internet marketers in the country. And while I don’t personally know most of the speakers (and the companies they represent) — not counting Maia Nuguid and Mike Villar whom I work with, and of course, Abe and Hans — I’m banking on the opportunity to network, and to gain new insights as well. :)

Who knows, I might have my own coverage of the event in this blog. Okaay, I hope I don’t get too lazy. :P See ya there, hopefully. :)

See SEMCON 2008 Topics and Speakers HERE. Register HERE.

Dear Nikon D90, Please Be Mine?

August 27, 2008

I think I’m in love. *heart attack* So what am I gona give up next? Anyone wants to buy my Nikon D40? And my Pink Macbook? And my Cybershot? And my brothers? And my brothers’ cars? I’m selling them with discount. :)

Beauty has come in the form of D90. Look. :)

And look, it makes movies!! Never in your life have you seen a DSLR that captures moving images. This makes history! Yay! :) And it’s got all these specs that’s expected from a Nikon camera!

STEP ASIDE, D80!!! This baby is the next big thing. :)

Coming out in September at $1000 (body only) and/or $1300 (with kit lens). More info over at Kenrockwell’s (my fave digital photography review site wee.) I think I’m gona be broke (and homeless) soon.

Canon Powershot E1 in Baby Pink, Blue, & White

August 26, 2008

Okay, I just had to post this one. If I was still looking for a handydandy digital camera, I’d have second thoughts buying that pink Sony Cybershot, and consider buying a white Canon Powershot E1 instead.

I know it does look like something a teenager would ask her parents for her birthday, FIIINE, I’m juvenile with gadgets that way. I love cute things!

Here’s what Gizmodo’s saying:

“It’s no optical slouch though, despite its simple looks, with 10-megapixels, 4x optical zoom and optical image stabilization, macro mode, ISO80-1600 (with 3200 scene mode) and a 2.5-inch TFT display. It also takes AA batteries for convenience and weighs just 0.35-pounds.”

Yep, there’s a catch. AA batteries ain’t gona work for the camwhore that is me. But for an eyecandy that’s only $200, I’d say it’s worth the buy. :)

I Really Should Blog More Often

August 21, 2008

Funny how writing/blogging used to be my reason for existence (because I lovess doing it and it pays the bills), but now my two blogs and my photoblog are gathering up cyberdusts because of my negligence. (And because I’m preoccupied with work too, yes.)

But all of that will change. I am determined to blog more often. Starting.. uhm.. soon. :)

Sounds familiar, I know right. Pff. I’ll try my best. :P
