There are a lot of reasons, but I’ll state just two.
1. When it was launched, it costed $200 more than the Nikon D40. And for what? For higher resolution? Not worth it. :) Especially if you care more about your DSLR’s flash shutter speed. D40x has a much slower maximum flash shutterspeed than the D40. [...]
