More Globe Visibility Protests

May 20, 2007

I was just ranting about my sucky Globe Visibility connection about a few weeks ago. That time, however, I was still considering the possibility that maybe it was just me. Like, maybe our place in Caloocan just happened to have bad signal reception. Or maybe it’s just my laptop that’s got a problem. Lame stuff like that. After all, benefit of the doubt is often a rule in my game.

Until you reach a point when the noise is too loud already, and you know for sure that you’re not being given a fair play. Better than 3G, you say? :) No one’s paying 2K pesos (plus VAT!) a month for a measly GPRS connection. And what about that “promise” that a plugin that will allow Globe Visibility to work with Vista is underway? Until when are they going to make Vista users wait?

I recently said:

Really now. I can just imagine how many bloggers (and IT professionals) are subscribed to Globe Visibility. Aren’t they aware of what angry bloggers can do?

Angry bloggers -> bad reviews -> bad publicity -> indelible mark (in the form of pages and pages of cached information) to their company brand.

Something has to be done about this.

I know my voice was just too weak to reach the high heavens. But when big names like Bryanboy and Marc Macalua start saying something, and when forum threads start growing in protest of a bad service, be very warned. You better start strategizing your next move to salvage whatever’s left of your image online. Better yet, you better start improving your service and make your subscribers get what they’re worth. And the time is NOW.

So I’m joining these Globe Visibility lobbyists and making my voice count. I’ll update this post as often as I can. If you’re an unsatisfied Globe Visibility subscriber, speak up! Let’s dominate the Google SERPs with pleas for change and improvement. Maybe then, they’ll start noticing.

Www sightings on Globe Visibility:

Last update: May 26, 2007.

So there. I’ll be clicking the publish button now. Let’s see how many seconds, minutes, before this one gets posted.

Waah. Thanks for this review! And a couple more I read. I’m honestly thinking of switching to Globe Visibility since my I’ve reached my one-year contract with Smartbro. But with this kind of connection, I’d gladly stick with Smartbro na lang. Boo, Globe! Dapat gawan nila ng paraan to! Bloggers can get very vicious, thus, can get very influential. :D

Hmmm… Lucky me because I don’t experience any problems with my DSL. I use SkyDSL. I think Wireless Internet is not that really stable here in the Philippines. Imagine, Noemi Dado has 3 internet connection on her home.

It’s just like PLDT customer service. Pamataaaay. Gusto ko na sagutin ung customer service rep: “CompSci grad ako, alam ko kung ano ang mga gagawin para icheck kung mabubuhay ang connection! Puro ba kayo spiel?!” Took them 13 days and seven phone calls before they finally fixed the problem. Kung hindi pa magtaray yung nanay ko, hindi maaayos yun.

Hehe…true. Most internet provider here in the philippines has no SLA(service level agreeemnt). If sabi nila 384kbps speed….magtaka na kayo!

tell me about it! globe is so darn slow, i think im returning my huawei e220 back to them and too hell with the subscription and my contract with them. we, the customers are after the service, one thing they should realize is the contract we signed with them is bilateral; they provide the service and we pay for that service.if they cant do so, then we, the clients have the right to rescind the contract!

our visibility plan in the office sucks! its too slow. i checked the speed using abeltronica and my supposedly 268kbps speed for globe is just 36kbps!! (mas mabilis pa ang dial up !) actually, i dont really have to check any speedometer to know that my internet speed sucks. i normally gauge it by my ability to play music in my YM Music Launch cast. and yes, im not able to play music (or any audio streaming) using visibility plan. :(

well, not all globe services sucks. my globe broadband at home works just fine (and its just half the cost of the visibility plan). too bad, the office got the visibility plan and we are suppose to do a lot of internet research here :( i hope globe can really improve on the visibility plan and really deliver its promise.
