Ok, Ehem, We’re Back

Christmas break, 10 days into 2007, the 2006 Pyro Olympics, and some Google dances have passed. Pinkseo.info has lost a significant number of backlinks–I didn’t realize until recently that linkbuilding these days has already become too serious a business even among friends, hehe–hence this site’s declined to as far as page 5 of the Google SERPs during the break.

Then again, I’m sort of developing this immature speculations against backlinks–like they don’t matter that much or something. Then again, what does, really? I cannot do the “content is King” ra-ra too–I haven’t updated since the decline but Pinkseo’s Ituloy Angsulong contest bet has risen up again to page 2 (#14 to some data centers, #15 to others) BY ITSELF. No updates. No additional backlinks. Haynaku. Google, friend, what really matters?

Observing the behaviors of Search Engines through this keyword ranking contest has allowed me to gain a significant amount of SEM knowlege I’ve never learned anywhere else. OR, has made me more lost than I already was. Haha. It’s like what this heart surgeon that I know of once said, “the more you dig into the intricacies of the human heart, the more you don’t know.”

I mean, who can explain why Marghil went from the top of Google SERPs to 100th spot?? (That, among others.)

Gah. Google is more unpredictable than women. How does her fans club woo her? Everything, a guessing game, that’s what it is.
